Guest Information

Check-in

Please arrive between 4-8pm. If you expect to arrive later than this or are delayed en-route, please text or call us.

Check-out

Please vacate your room and hand back your keys by 11am. You are welcome to continue using the gardens until 2pm. It may be possible to arrange a later checkout if your room has not been booked by another guest.

Breakfast

Breakfast will be served in the dining room from 8-9.30am. If you require an earlier breakfast time please let us know by 5pm the day before.

Lunch & dinner

At present we are unable to provide lunch or dinner without prior arrangement. We have some fantastic local pubs and restaurant and will be happy to assist you with recommendations and reservations. Private dining can be arranged at The Green with prior notice and for a minimum of 6 guests.

Tea, coffee & homemade cake

Tea & coffee are always available. Each afternoon there will be a homemade cake or biscuits available in the dining room for resident guests.

Honesty bar

We have a selection of high quality wines, beers and spirits, mixers and soft drinks, available for residents to help yourself if we are not around. Your drinks will be payable on check out. Externally purchased alcohol may be subject to a corkage charge.

Reception & communication

You can contact us via WhatsApp between 8am-8pm, during this time we will endeavour to reply within 30 mins. Between 2-4pm each day we will be available in person. We will provide you with an out of hours emergency number upon booking your stay.

No Smoking or vaping

Both smoking and vaping, and any other naked flames, are strictly prohibited (except with permission) everywhere within the house and grounds. Any evidence of smoking or vaping will incur a £100 penalty (this will be charged to the card used at the time of booking).

Lost property

Should you leave anything behind we will be happy to post it on to you. Items that have been forgotten and not claimed will be donated or disposed of accordingly after a six week period.

Damages

Guests are liable for any damage caused during their stay.

Keys

If you lose your keys or take them home and do not return them, you will be charged £100 to cover replacement costs.

Security

Whilst there are alarms and CCTV on the premises, all guests are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend that you keep your room locked at all times.

Accessibility

Due to the constraints of a 300 year-old property we are unfortunately unable to provide easy access for guests with limited mobility. All external doors have steps leading up to them and there are stairs to all bedrooms.

Parking

One parking space close to the main house is provided per bedroom and any additional cars can be parked in the overflow car park near the main gate. You are welcome to drive to the house and unload before parking. Parking is at your own risk.

Adults only

Guests under 18 are not accepted except by prior agreement

No Pet Policy

In order to preserve our wildlife,  we do not allow dogs in the house or grounds except for assistance animals. If you need to bring an assistance animal please let us know at the time of booking and this may be subject to additional conditions.

Payment policy

Full payment will be taken at the time of booking, and we may pre-authorise a credit card at check-in to cover a security deposit for damages or additionalal charges you may incur during your stay. No money is taken from your credit card, but it will show as a pending transaction. The authorisation of your card will last the length of your stay. Pre-authorisation releases take up to 31 days to process, depending on the individual bank policies.

Please see our cancellation policy below if you need to cancel or make changes to your reservation. In the event of a no-show or early departure, the full booking amount will be charged. For group bookings or buy-out events, additional payment terms may apply.

Any disputes regarding payment should be raised at check-in.

Cancellation policy

We have a 7-day cancellation policy on all room bookings. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date, we will charge you the full amount of your booking. If there are mitigating reasons for the cancellation and we are able to re-let your room, we may at our sole discretion reimburse you. If you do not show up for your booking, the full charge will be made.

Group bookings of 3 or more rooms are only refundable if cancelled 30 days prior to arrival.
